We are looking for an UI designer for our App Builder
APPLIYA Inc, an iPhone applications design company from Japan, is seeking an experienced Web Development firm for a freelance or contract position. The Web Developer will be responsible for designing and building a user interface and the corresponding graphic design and back-end systems for an online authoring tool that allows users to upload and manipulate images that can later be used in iPhone apps.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for UI design, graphic design, and web implementation of the project
- Deliver standards compliant CSS/HTML/program files and corresponding documentation
- Develop a secure, efficient back-end system with PHP/MySQL
- Liaise with US branch manager in San Diego/Los Angeles on the UI, design, and code to ensure that the product is satisfactory
- Deliver on time and with good quality
- Delivery time frame is 5 weeks
PRODUCT:
- An online application that allows users to take images from their computer or Flickr (either via Creative Commons or their own accounts) to use as a base for images in iPhone apps
- Users are able to manipulate images in the online tool with features like crop, resize, etc. and save those images for later use in their iPhone app (Note: Output is png format images in a database. Creation of the iPhone app is outside the scope of this contract.)
- Requires a user registration and login system
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong UI and graphics design skills
- Strong experience in back-end development
- Due to the short time frame of the project, previous experience insimilar projects is crucial
