Tadashi Kobayashi

Professor at Gakush?in University and Director of Chiba City Museum of Art, and Chair of International Ukiyo-e Conference.

A world authority on Japanese art history, Professor Kobayashi is also at the center of international ukiyo-e studies. He has discovered and researched countless ukiyo-e prints at museums around the world. He is among the first academicians to treat ukiyo-e not just as craftsman work but as fine art, and has gained esteem for treating shunga (seductive ukiyo-e), for the first time, as an academic discipline. His efforts at discussing art in plain language have been highly acclaimed.

Robert Campbell

Professor at the University of Tokyo, Graduate School of Fine Arts (Japanese Literature, The Department of Comparative Literature).

Professor Campbell is one of the forerunners in research on the relationship between Edo (Early Modern) and modern literature. He has produced many great contributions to these fields while being one of the very few foreign faculty members teaching Japanese literature, in Japanese, at the prestigious national academic institutions. His interests lie in poetry, prose and in the art, philosophy, and media which are associated with poetry during the mid-Edo to Meiji periods of Japan. This iPhone/iPod Touch application is valued at 700 yen at the App Store, but for a limited time only the application will be available at a special discount price of 350 yen.

"Wild Orchids" is an adventure e-book featuring 40 photographs of rare Borneo orchids and magnificent landscapes, as well as the real-life story of photographer Toshiro Inamori's journey that led to the successful capturing of these rare orchids classified as endangered species (based on CITES) on camera. PHOTOGRAPHER TOSHIRO INAMORI'S BIOGRAPHY
CEO of Ine Company. After working at Chunichi Shimbun and Yomiuri Shimbun newspapers and TBS Vision, Mr. Inamori established the Ine Company in 1994. He has also filmed various television programs for TBS, NHK, and TV Tokyo networks.

Since 1997, Mr. Inamori has been shooting in Borneo, the largest territory of wild orchids (approx. 3000 species) over a number of years, capturing valuable wild orchids and their surroundings deep in the jungles in high-definition videos and photographs. As of today, he has photographically captured approximately 700 species. Nowhere else in the world can you find such an extensive collection containing footage of extremely rare wild orchids that have been photographically captured for the first time ever. He shot these photographs alongside Mr. Anthony Ram, a foremost authority on orchids and a member of the Royal Botanic Garden, Kew in the UK. Together, they have captured footage of a vast array of wild orchids for the first time ever on video.

These funds are being used for research and expansion of Appliya's reach into the international iPhone ap- plication market.
