This application is an adventure book featuring photographer Toshiro Inamori's photographs of wild Borneo orchids taken over a span of more than ten years. It is also includes vivid descriptions based on his first-hand experiences.
Borneo is the largest territory of wild orchids. There are over 3000 species of wild orchid and Toshiro Inamori has photographically captured more than 700 of them. Nowhere else in the world you can find such an extensive and diverse collection of orchid images.
These photographs are rare because they show not only the orchids themselves, but also the surroundings. In addition, Mr. Inamori captured these images alongside Mr. Anthony Lamb, a foremost authority on orchids and a member of the Royal Botanic Garden, Kew. Professor at Gakushūin University and Director of Chiba City Museum of Art, and Chair of International Ukiyo-e Conference
A world authority on Japanese art history, Professor Kobayashi is also at the center of international ukiyo-e studies. He has discovered and researched countless ukiyo-e prints at museums around the world. He is among the first academicians to treat ukiyo-e not just as craftsman work but as fine art, and has gained esteem for treating shunga (seductive ukiyo-e), for the first time, as an academic discipline. His efforts at discussing art in plain language have been highly acclaimed.
Robert Campbell
Professor at the University of Tokyo, Graduate School of Fine Arts (Japanese Literature, The Department of Comparative Literature)
Professor Campbell is one of the forerunners in research on the relationship between Edo (Early Modern) and modern literature. He has produced many great contributions to these fields while being one of the very few foreign faculty members teaching Japanese literature, in Japanese, at the prestigious national academic institutions. His interests lie in poetry, prose and in the art, philosophy, and media which are associated with poetry during the mid-Edo to Meiji periods of Japan. This latest entry in Appliya's Evangelion application series uses imagery taken directly from the Rebuild of Evangelion movies in a challenging puzzle game that will have you occupied for hours!
The rules of the game are simple: load up your app and choose an image, difficulty setting, and type of grid. Each puzzle consists of an image that has been broken up into a grid of scattered tiles. Use your touch screen to slide the tiles into the proper place, but there's only one empty space on the grid so your number of moves will be limited. Be smart and plan your moves carefully!
If you're not quite sure where a piece should go, use the "hint" button to give you a full-view version of the puzzle image in its solved state.
Amateurs can choose a 3 x 3 grid on Easy or Normal, but serious puzzle pros will love the challenge of the Hard 5 x 5 grid. When you crank up the difficulty, the time limit for solving the puzzles decreases, so be quick!
